Aviagen Turkeys have just taken delivery of one of the latest vehicles to leave our workshop, and it’s a mightily impressive 26t.

When the international turkey breeder contacted us about building their latest vehicle, they had very specific ideas about how they wanted the body to work.

Mounted to a Mercedes Actros 26T chassis is an 8.3m body, complete with a Carrier Supra 850U undermount fridge unit, and an Eberspacher D8LC heating system to help them keep the body at their precise and important temperatures.

The rear of the body is interesting as well, with a 1500kg tail lift which includes a hydraulic powered platform fold-down mechanism, as well as hi-vis safety gates. The top of the rear frame also incorporates a pull-out canopy to help protect drivers and their product from the elements!

After working closely with them to ensure everything was designed right, the final product is a vehicle we’re proud of – and they can be too.
